Actress Rufa Mae Quinto has opened up about her marital issues with her husband, Trevor Magallanes.

During the Friday episode of the show Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, Rufa shared that in terms of legalizing their separation, both of them have filed divorce papers.

"Kung ayaw na rin naman niya, bakit ko hindi rerespetuhin yon? Pero yung legalities, yung mga file-file ng divorce, walang file ng divorce. (If he doesn't want to, why can't I respect that? However, neither of us has formally filed for divorce. To be clear, no one has initiated the divorce)," said Rufa.

According to Rufa, she decided not to file a divorce on Trevor because she has an ongoing case.

"Hindi na ako magpa-file kasi ang dami ko nang file…sa kaso. So ayoko munang mag-file sa mga divorce-divorce, annulment din.Dito rin naman kami kasi ikinasal sa Pinas so hindi ko na alam ang gagawin. Masyadong masakit pa eh tapos may anak din kami. "I won't be filing anything because I have an ongoing case. I don't want to pursue divorce or annulment either. We got married here in the Philippines, and I'm unsure of what to do next. It's still painful, especially since we also have a child)," said Rufa.

Despite facing marital issues after nine years together, Rufa acknowledged that Trevor is a good father and husband, even though he is not part of the showbiz industry.

"Mabuti siyang ama, mabuti rin siyang asawa, kaya lang hindi siya artista. Ayaw niyang matsismis, ayaw niya yung pinag-uusapan. Tahimik, very private kasi. Siyempre, nasasaktan siya ‘pag maraming nag-sa-sabi na dahil sa pera. (He's very private and quiet. Of course, he gets hurt when he hears rumors it's all about the money, things like that)," Rufa said.

Rufa hopes to reconcile with Trevor if she has her way.

“Mahal ko siya, siyempre. Tsaka gusto ko siyempre makumpleto ang pamilya namin. (I love him, of course and I want our family to be complete)," she said.

Rufa and Trevor got married in 2016. A year later, they welcomed their daughter Athena. They are based in the US.
