Man arrested for robbery, illegal possession of gun in QC


A 33-year-old man was arrested by operatives of the Quezon Police District for robbery and illegal possession of firearms on Saturday, Jan. 18.

The suspect was identified as Raffy Radaza, 33, a resident of Brgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

According to a police report from Batasan Police Station (PS 6), the victim was walking along IBP Road corner Everlasting St., Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City when the suspect took his personal belongings and fled to an unknown destination.

Radaza was arrested at 9:28 p.m. on Jan. 18 along Filinvest II Road.

The police recovered one ID, a cellphone, a coin purse, P800 cash, a shoulder bag, one cal. 38 revolver without serial number, four live ammunition, and a black T-shirt.

The suspect will be charged for Robbery (Hold-up) and violation of R.A. 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act in relation to Omnibus Election Code before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
