Dahil sa basura: Senior citizen bludgeoned to death by neighbor in Taytay

The victim dies after being attacked by his neighbor. 

A 75-year-old man was bludgeoned to death by his neighbor with a metal pipe in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taytay, Rizal on Wednesday, Jan. 15, the Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said.

The police identified the suspect as "Romy," 50.

Based on the police report, several witnesses saw the suspect hit the victim's head with a metal pipe multiple times, causing the latter to collapse on the ground and quickly die. The suspect then fled the scene immediately after attacking the victim.

A follow-up operation was conducted by the police which led in the suspect's arrest.

Further investigation revealed that the two had a long-time feud because of their manners in throwing away their garbage.

Romy is currently detained at the Taytay Custodial Facility and will be charged with murder.
