Ateneo's Chris Koon completes SGA cast in Dubai cagefest

The 6-foot-5 cager, who was part of Ateneo’s 2022 championship team, recently fulfilled his final collegiate year with the Blue Eagles in UAAP Season 87 where he averaged 7.58 points, 4.17 rebounds, and 1.83 assists.

The Katipunan-based squad concluded its campaign with a 4-10 card to finish dead last in the standings.

With his acquisition that marked the beginning of his professional career, Koon will join fellow guards Mikey Williams, Rhenz Abando, Tony Ynot, Justine Sanchez, Dave Ildefonso and reinforcement Malachi Richardson in leading the front court.

Towering the back court are NCAA MVP Allen Liwag, Angge Kouame, Andray Blatche, Jason Brickman, Justine Sanchez, Terry Larrier and four-time NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins.

"He has good size as a wing, can shoot, can defend. I think he will be a good role player for us," said SGA head coach Charles Tiu.
