2 suspects arrested for P680,000 shabu in Taguig

The police arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized P680,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on Jan. 15.

The suspects were identified by the police as alias Sheila, 27, and alias Michael, 33, who were nabbed in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig at about 11:10 p.m.

The operation was conducted by the Southern Police District’s Drug Enforcement Unit in collaboration with the SPD District Intelligence Division and Taguig Police Sub-Station 9.

Sheila and Michael were arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Sheila will face charges for selling the illegal drugs while Michael will be charged for possession of shabu.

During the operation, the police confiscated 100 grams of shabu valued at P680,000, and P1,000 bill bill and 49 pieces of P1,000 counterfeit bills used as buy-bust money.

The seized drugs will be turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
