'Ang tamis naman': Newlywed solons call each other their 'better half'

It's rare for a husband and wife to acknowledge each other as their "better half".

But newlyweds Davao Oriental 2nd district Rep. Cheeno Miguel Almario and Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta (PBA) Party-list Rep. Margarita "Atty. Migs" Nograles-Almario are a tad sweeter than most couples.

This shows in their interactions on social media.

Incidentally, Tuesday, Jan. 14 was Cheeno's birthday. Migs wrote in a Facebook post: "Happy birthday to my better half Cheeno Miguel D. Almario! Always grateful to have you in my life and I thank God everyday that I found my soulmate."

"Sobrang swerte ng 2nd District of Davao Oriental to have you (The 2nd district of Davao Oriental is very lucky to have you) as their congressman this congress and even for the next Congress. Pero mas swerte ako dahil ikaw hubby ko (But I'm luckier because you're my husband)," she added.

Not to be outdone, Cheeno commented: "Thank you, my lovely wife and better-er half. Hehe. ðŸ¥° I love you."

The two House "Young Guns" bloc members tied the knot in November 2024. They officially became a couple that same year.
