Teen accidentally shoots self with air gun

BACOLOD CITY – A 13-year-old boy died after he accidentally shot himself with an air gun in Barangay Purisima, Manapla, Negros Occidental on Sunday, Jan. 12.

Police said the victim’s sister went to the living room to check on her brother after hearing a noise. She found him wounded in the eyebrow and called for help.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he died.

Their parents were attending a meeting when the incident happened. They surrendered the air gun to the police.

The victim’s father said his son would often play with the air gun in their house. His parents believe that his death was  an accident.
