BACOLOD CITY – A 42-year-old man was arrested after suspected shabu was discovered in his possession while filing a blotter report at Police Station 6 in Barangay Taculing here on Sunday, Jan. 12.

The suspect was identified as Juanito of La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
Juanito was filing a report about a commotion involving several individuals on Lopez Jaena St. in front of a bus terminal when he inadvertently revealed a sachet of suspected shabu while presenting his identification at the police station.
Police tagged Juanito as a newly identified individual in the illegal drugs trade.
Gun ban violator
Police apprehended the first violator of the election gun ban here on Sunday night.
The suspect was identified as 24-year-old Archie of Barangay Mansilingan here.
Archie was spotted in plain view allegedly carrying a firearm on Luzuriaga St., Barangay 28 before midnight.
The suspect yielded an improvised firearm called “pogakhang” with bullets for a 20-gauge shotgun. He is detained at Police Station 6.
Police reminded the public that the gun ban is strictly being implemented and encouraged them to report any suspicious activities or individuals.
