The National Rally for Peace organized by members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) on Monday, Jan. 13 at the Quirino Grandstand remains peaceful, according to the Manila Police District (MPD), despite the crowd swelling to an estimated 1.5 million ahead of the program's official start.

Police authorities said that as of 12 noon, no untoward incidents had been reported, ensuring a smooth and orderly assembly.

"Maayos at wala pa namang reported untoward incident. Tuloy tuloy naman ang pag iikot ng mga kapulisan habang hindi pa nagsisimula ang programa nila (There have been no reported untoward incidents so far. The police continue to patrol the area while the program has not yet started)," MPD said.

The program is set to begin at 4 p.m., and the crowd is expected to double by the time the program starts.

The DRRMO also deployed several ambulances and had set up a medical tent to address health emergencies.

The INC also arranged for the placement of portalets, satellite kitchens, and charging areas around the Quirino Grandstand.

There are also delegates' camps available for attendees to visit at Iglesia Ni Cristo compounds in Quiapo, Binondo, and Tondo.

The Manila City government has reminded the attendees to dispose of their garbage properly and urged them to maintain cleanliness throughout the event.
