The Makati City government, led by Mayor Abby Binay, was lauded by Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia for its exceptional programs and initiatives aimed at improving the education of its youth as well as the health and wellness of Makatizens.

Binay recently visited the province to meet with Garcia and other Cebu officials where she shared Makati's social programs and policies promoting good governance and urban development.

“Ang ganda ng education package, especially the Covid-19 Kits provided during the pandemic (Their education package is very well thought of as well as their Covid-19 Kits provided during the pandemic),” Garcia said after welcoming Binay at the Cebu Provincial Capitol.

The two leaders also discussed how they could forge stronger partnerships between the national and local governments to promote a more inclusive growth.

Binay delivered a message during the Sugbo Negosyo seed money distribution and offered to promote the products of the winning Cebuano micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Makati.

She also held a dialogue with other mayors from the province and extended to them an invitation for benchmarking visits to Makati.

"We are eager to share our experiences. You are always welcome in Makati for a benchmarking activity," Binay said.
