Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano announced that the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) will remain open to serve the public for business permit renewal on Monday, Jan. 13, despite the suspension of government work in the city.
The mayor explained that Malacañang recently declared the suspension of government work and classes at all levels in Pasay due to the Iglesia ni Cristo’s “National Peace Rally.” However, onsite business permit renewal services at Double Dragon Plaza, located at Macapagal Blvd. corner EDSA Extension, will still operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The mayor said the BPLO set the deadline for the business permit renewal until Jan. 20 only as they can process around 600 to 700 per day.
She urged business owners to avoid the deadline set by the BPLO for their convenience and avoid the long line waiting to renew their permits.
