Call center agent tagged as scammer found dead in Talisay City

BACOLOD CITY â€“ A 32-year-old call center agent tagged as a scammer was found dead in Hacienda Lizares, Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, Negros Occidental on Sunday morning, Jan. 12.

Police Major Rhazl Jim Jocson, deputy chief of the Talisay City Police Station, identified the victim as Carl Kimberlyn Degabi, a resident of Barangay Mandalagan here.

Jocson said Degabi left her house on Saturday night, Jan. 11.

He said the victim could have been killed in another location before she was dumped in the area.

Degabi sustained mouth injuries and police are awaiting the autopsy results to determine the cause of death and if she was raped.

Jocson said they are investigating if she was killed over money as social media posts tagged her as a scammer.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
