Robredo took to Facebook on Friday, Jan. 10, to endorse the candidacies of Pangilinan, her 2022 running mate, and Aquino, her campaign manager.
“Hindi natapos ang laban noong 2022 elections. Ngayong 2025, malaki pa din ang nakataya (The fight didn’t end last 2022 elections. This 2025, a lot is still at stake),” she wrote.
“Sama sama uli tayong kumilos para kay Kiko at Bam mula sa Feb. 10 hanggang sa eleksiyon sa Mayo (Together, let us support Kiko and Bam from Feb. 10 until the elections in May),” she added.
The former vice president, who is running for mayor in her hometown of Naga City, also posted a video collage of her 2022 campaign rallies, which were attended by millions of Filipinos.
On his Facebook, Pangilinan thanked Robredo for the endorsement.
“Maraming salamat, Ma'am Leni, ang aking partner noong 2022, sa walang sawang suporta. (Thank you, Ma’am Leni, my partner in 2022, for the tireless support),” he said.
“Hindi pa tapos ang laban. Tuloy ang ating adhikain para sa mura at masustansyang pagkain para sa lahat at mababang presyo ng bilihin (The fight is not over. Our advocacy for affordable and nutritious for all and lower prices of goods will continue),” the former senator added.
For his part, Aquino explained that although the campaign color of yellow associated with the Liberal Party and the Aquinos remains in his “heart,” his switch to pink for this year’s campaign signifies the fight in 2022.
“Bakit pink ang kulay ng ating kampanya? Dahil may laban tayo na kailangang ipagpatuloy (Why is pink our campaign color? Because we have a fight that needs to be continued),” he captioned a post where he explained during the ABS-CBN “Harapan 2025” his choice of campaign color.
In the latest pre-election survey of independent polling firm Pulse Asia, Pangilinan placed 11th with 35.8 percent, while Aquino was at 12th place of the End of the Year Survey by Publicus Asia.
