P93.7-M illegal drugs seized in Bacolod in 2024


BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office confiscated illegal drugs worth P93.7 million from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2024.

The BCPO said 13,784.739 grams of shabu valued at P93,736,225.20 and 23.988 grams of marijuana worth P2,878.56 were recovered. Lawmen conducted 426 operations and arrested 520 suspected drug pushers.

In the campaign against illegal gambling,  602 individuals were nabbed in 186 operations and P76,536 in bet money were recovered.

One-hundred sixteen  most wanted persons and 354 other wanted persons were caught.

One hundred ninety-nine guns  were confiscated and surrendered, 26 explosives were seized, and 43 individuals were nabbed in 215 operations in the campaign against loose firearms.

Police reaffirmed its commitment to the relentless campaign against illegal drugs and called on the public to continue supporting the government’s efforts to eradicate the menace in the community.
