Filipino boxer Eumir Marcial is no longer making any statements in response to the cheating allegations being thrown at him by his wife, Princess, and instead would only address the issue in the proper forum, the camp of the two-time Olympian has on Saturday, Jan. 11.

Marcial's alleged illicit affair became a hot topic on social media after his wife formally filed a complaint against the 2020 Tokyo Games silver medalist.

According to his legal counsel, Atty. Marlon Morada, Marcial has not received any formal complaint or affidavit from his wife or the appropriate government agency and he would only answer the allegations once he receives it.

“Rest assured that as soon as we receive the complaint-affidavit, Mr. Marcial shall answer all the allegations against him head on. Despite the social media publication, Mr. Marcial chooses to keep family matters private and as such, shall address any and all allegations against him in the proper forum,” the statement said.

Aside from filing a complaint, Princess also went to social media to detail Marcial’s alleged infidelity – which, according to his camp, has subjected the boxer to an ‘unfortunate and unfair conclusion' about him and his family.

In an interview with local media in Zamboanga, Marcial denied the cheating allegations as well as claims that he was hitting his wife.

He also clarified that the woman he was seen with by his wife was just a friend and that no cheating happened.

Marcial also added that he and Princess had long gone their separate ways even before the incident happened – something that his wife also quickly refuted with a series of Facebook posts.
