Rufa Mae Quinto now out on bail

The actress spent the night of Jan. 8 at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) headquarters where she surrendered some hours after she planed in from the US.

According to reports, Rufa paid 1.7 million pesos for her temporary freedom.

She is facing 14 counts of  violation of Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code in connection with her prior involvement with embattled skincare company Dermacare.

Asked for a message to the complainants, Rufa Mae said, “Pasensiya na po kayo. Oo, you deserve an explanation kaya nga po ako bumalik, humarap… isa-isa.

"So, thank you sa judge natin."

Asked why she is in tears, she explained, “Naiiyak ako kasi ang sarap maging malaya… di ba, (the) best things in life are free and to be heard...”
