Palace declares holidays in Batangas cities, Bulacan this January

President Marcos has declared Jan. 20 as a special non-working day in Lipa City, Batangas for the celebration of the Coffee Festival.

Through Proclamation No. 768, Marcos declared Jan. 20, which falls on a Monday, as a special non-working day to give the people of Lipa an opportunity to join in the revelry.

"[I]t is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Lipa be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration," the proclamation read.

Marcos also declared Jan. 31, Friday, as a special non-working day in the municipality of Lian, Batangas for the celebration of its Liberation Day.

"[I]t is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Lian be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration," Proclamation No. 770 stated.

The President further declared Jan. 23 as a special non-working day on the province of Bulacan to mark the anniversary of the inauguration of the First Philippine Republic which took place at the Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan.

Marcos made the declaration through Proclamation No. 769.

"[I]t is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Bulacan be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration," the proclamation said.

All three proclamations were signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Jan. 7, 2025.
