Robinsons Land plans 3 more work.able sites this year, to open in provinces by 2026
Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is planning to continue expanding its flexible office space unit work.able as it sees real demand in the coworking market—not just in Metro Manila, but also in the provinces.
In a media interview during the inauguration of the 14th work.able branch at GBF Center 1 in Bridgetowne Destination Estate, RLC Senior Vice President and Robinsons Offices General Manager Jericho P. Go said they will be opening at least three more branches before the end of the year.
“We will continue to grow the business because there is demand for it. We are not growing it for the sake of growing it. We've had received demand for provincial work.able sites where we have a presence in Robinsons Land Corp.,” he added.
Go said their expansion rate will depend on the demand, “but, as much as we can, we would like to have that presence, to be able to bring offices closer to where people live.”
RLC President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mybelle V. Aragon-Gobio said some work.able spaces are located on multiple floors of their office buildings, such as Summit Center in Makati and GBF Center 1, to suit the demand of tenants.
RLC’s work.able sites are either open to the public or built-to-suit for corporate tenants who like the concept for their own offices. It also has a combination of both, where some seats are taken by corporate tenants while some are for the public.
“We also have virtual offices. So, if you’re trying to set up a company and you need space, then you just sign up with work.able for a virtual office,” Go explained. work.able also has a small portion of speculative spaces, which are in anticipation of the growing requirements of tenants.
The upcoming work.able sites to be opened later this year include GBF Center 2 and Summit Center 2. Go said they are still consolidating demand for future sites, and this may already include provincial sites.
Last August, RLC opened two work.able sites on separate floors at Robinsons Summit Center in Makati, to bring the total capacity of its 13 branches, before GBF Center 1, to 2,500 seats in Makati, Ortigas, Bridgetowne, and Taguig.
