A lone bettor from Novaliches, Quezon City is now the country’s newest multimillionaire after winning the P56,078,818 jackpot prize in the MegaLotto 6/45 draw, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Tuesday, September 30.
According to PCSO, the lucky player hit the winning numbers 30-20-23-40-12-14 during the 9 p.m. draw on September 29.
Winning ticket bought in Quezon City
On its official Facebook page, the PCSO Games Online Hub confirmed that the winning ticket was purchased at the Flora A. Pasano outlet in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches, Quezon City.

Aside from the lone jackpot winner, 44 bettors each won the second prize of P32,000, after getting five of the six winning numbers.
No GrandLotto 6/55 jackpot winner
Meanwhile, no one won the GrandLotto 6/55 on the same draw date. The winning numbers were 05-37-17-10-47-54, with a jackpot prize of P197,847,532.40 still up for grabs.

Prize claiming and tax reminder
PCSO reminded lotto players that winnings above P10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax under the TRAIN Law.
Winners have one year from the draw date to claim their prizes at any authorized PCSO branch or the main office in Mandaluyong City.
