IU, Ju Ji-hoon, PH's Daniel Padilla to attend Seoul International Drama Awards
Korean and international stars have been confirmed to attend the Seoul International Drama Awards (SDA) 2025 ceremony on Oct. 2.
Seoul Drama Awards Organizing Committee, headed by Chairman Moon-shin Bang, announced that award-winning stars IU, Ju Ji-hoon, Kim Minha, Kentaro Sakaguchi and trot singer Young Tak will attend the ceremony that will be held on Oct. 2, 5 p.m., at the KBS Hall in Seoul, South Korea.
This year’s ceremony will mark the awards’ 20th anniversary and will be hosted by Jang Doyeon and Ok Taecyeon.
Special performances will be held by Jang Sa-ik, ILLIT, Urban Zakapa, and others.
Ju Ji-hoon, who won the Outstanding Korean Actor for the Netflix hit “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,” will attend with director Do-yun Lee.
IU, who captivated audiences with her role in “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” will also attend the SDA.
Kim Minha, who played Sunja in “Pachinko” season 2, a winner of both Best Miniseries and Best Actress in the International Competition Category—will be present as well.
Ji-hyun Na, director of the “The Son,” and Umut Aral, who directed Turkiye’s nationwide hit drama “The Good & The Bad,” will also be present.
Asian stars will be present as well. Attending the ceremony are Kentaro Sakaguchi, who enjoys a large fan base in Korea; Film Rachanun Mahawan, who recently held successful fan meetings in Macau, the Philippines, and Japan; Filipino actor Daniel Padilla; and Anna Jobling, Malaysia’s rising star.
Actress Yeom Hye-ran, who played Aesun’s mother Gwang-rye in “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” will be a presenter.
In addition, Seohyun, Lee Yo-won, Chuu, Koo Sung-hwan, Moon Sung-hyun, and Cha Ni will also serve as presenters.
The 20th Seoul International Drama Awards ceremony and red carpet, hosted by the Korean Broadcasters Association and the Seoul Drama Awards Organizing Committee, and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, will be broadcast live on the official YouTube channel on Oct. 2, and will air on SBS TV in Korea at 6 p.m. on Oct. 3.
On Oct. 3 and 4, the Drama Festa will be held at Banpo Hangang Park and Seokchon Lake West (Songpa Naru Park), featuring OST singers including Roy Kim, UV (Se-yoon Yoo, Muzie), Jung-in & Hareem and beloved drama actors such as Oh Min-ae and Kim Kum-soon from “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” and Kim Ji-hun from “The Haunted Palace.”
The festival is open to everyone.
