Brig. Gen. Aden Lagradante, Eastern Police District (EPD) director, lauded his officers on Tuesday, Sept. 30, for significantly reducing crime incidents in the Metro East area on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
According to Lagradante, Metro East's crime rate of 15.08 recorded from Sept. 22 to 28 is much lower than the 17.2 tallied from Sept. 15 to 21.
In addition to the reduction in crime volume, the EPD reported several notable operational accomplishments: 28 anti-illegal drug operations led to the arrest of 75 individuals and confiscation of approximately 101.593 grams of shabu and 10.053 grams of kush, valued at P626,716.66; three operations targeting loose firearms resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of three illegal firearms; eight anti-illegal gambling operations led to the apprehension of 14 suspects and the confiscation of P2,515 in bet money; and manhunt operations gained momentum with the arrest of four Top Most Wanted Persons, six Most Wanted Persons, and 27 other wanted individuals.
"These accomplishments were made possible through the unified effort, hard work, and dedication of EPD personnel from the police stations of Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, and San Juan, together with the EPD Headquarters and DMFB. Their collective commitment continues to strengthen the campaign against criminality, illegal drugs, and other lawless activities," the police official said.
Lagradante attributed the remarkable drop in Metro East's crime rate to the police force's relentless efforts in serving justice and ensuring the peace and security of the people.
"This success is not just the victory of the EPD, but also of the people we serve, our stakeholders, partners, and the law-abiding citizens of Metro East who continue to cooperate with us in maintaining peace and order. Rest assured, we will sustain our momentum and remain committed to delivering a safer and more secure environment for everyone," he noted.
