Las Piñas LPTCO head Paul Ahljay San Miguel gave the delegates from the Parañaque tourism office headed by Cissette S. Ricardo a tour of the hidden gems and known tourist destinations in Parañaque.
San Miguel said the delegates visited the Nursery and Botanical Garden, a public park in the city that features various plants, including ornamentals, herbs, fruit-bearing trees, and vegetables, serving as an educational and recreational space for residents and students located along Alabang-Zapote Road.
He said the delegates also visited other tourist destinations in the city - the historic Bamboo Organ, a historic 19th-century pipe organ at the St. Joseph Parish Church and famous for being the only surviving and functional organ worldwide constructed primarily with bamboo pipes, and Nature Church, a unique, open-air Roman Catholic church in the city known for its architecture that blends nature and faith.
The delegates were also brought to Cecille's Restaurant, a classic Filipino and Chinese cuisine establishment built in 1981 and the oldest restaurant in Las Piñas.
The LPTCO head added that the joint effort allowed personnel from both cities to exchange best practices in promoting heritage sites, cultural festivals, and sustainable tourism projects.
