The city government, through the Local Housing Development Office, held the distribution during the regular flag-raising ceremony on Monday, Sept. 29, at the Parañaque City Hall quadrangle.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the distribution of certificates of lot assignments to 96 beneficiaries, 50 from San Lorenzo Ruiz, Santos Compound, and 46 from the Gawad Kalinga, was led by Engr. Oscar Fernandez, LHDO head.
Olivarez said seven residents from Bagong Buhay, Sitio Sto. Nino received their certificate of full payment, which serves as proof of ownership that allows the owner to receive their title.
He said three from the BAMASIPAG Neighborhood Association already received their certificate of title showing full ownership of the lot they are occupying.
The mayor thanked the Urban Mission Areas and Development Office, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, and the National Housing Authority for collaborating with the city governments' continuing efforts to provide security of tenure and improve the quality of life of city residents.
Olivarez said the certificates "signify not only a piece of land but also dignity, stability, and hope for every Paraqueño family."
