The Masbate Airport has resumed operations and is now ready to accommodate flights and passengers, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said on Monday, Sept. 29.
The airport suffered around P15 million damage due to the onslaught of "Opong".
The CAAP said it immediately secured repair supplies which resulted in the conduct quick repairs.
The CAAP said the Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) was already declared as safe for occupancy as all hazardous materials and debris previously hanging from the ceiling were already removed and replaced.
While the airport is ready to resume operations, the CAAP clarified that the resumption of flights will remain at the discretion of the airlines.
