Man on way home shot dead in Laguna

LUMBAN, Laguna – A 43-year-old man was shot dead in Barangay Maytalang here on Monday.
Police said the victim Lito was walking on his
way home when a man appeared and shot him.
Lito died on the spot from multiple bullet wounds and the suspect fled.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
Batangas robbery
LEMERY, Batangas – A courier company here was robbed over the weekend.
Police said two employees discovered that the vault was destroyed and P500,000 cash inside was missing.
Investigation said the suspects used an aluminum ladder to access the rear of the hub and detached the exhaust fan to gain entry.
Follow-up operations and investigation is ongoing.
Laborer drowns
LOBO, Batangas – A 66-year-old laborer drowned while checking a shrimp trap on a river in Barangay Tayuman here on Sunday.
Investigation said the victim Hilario of Barangay Nagtaluntong here left his house to check the shrimp tramp and failed to return.
His body was found in the area lying in a prone position. Initial assessment of the victim's body revealed no visible signs of injury and he is believed to have drowned.
