Jayson Castro is taking his sweet time recovering from a knee injury as he is expected to remain out of the TNT lineup for the upcoming Philippine Cup in the PBA 50th Season.
Castro, who sustained the injury in the Commissioner's Cup of last season back in February, said he is not rushing his return, especially since it was his first time dealing with a major injury.
Already 39 years old, it is just not wise to force himself into quickly returning, especially that Rey Nambatac and Jordan Heading are now all in full health for the all-Filipino conference.
"Mas gusto namin na 100% ako kapag bumalik. Hindi yung nandiyan ka nga pero hindi ka naman 100% mas mahirap," said the veteran point guard.
Castro believes he can get back to his old, deadly form and he just needed to take his time recovering although he admitted that the road to his return is not easy.
Kasi this is my first ma-surgery. Pero I'm okay naman. I think makakabalik ako 100% and yun nga mas determined. Alam kong di pa tapos career ko," Castro added.
