DFA Office of Cultural Diplomacy holds heritage walk in Pasay City

A total of 30 delegates from the Department of Foreign Affairs- Office of Cultural Diplomacy (DFA-OCD) conducted a heritage walk themed “A Journey by Air, Sea, and Cuisine: A Heritage Walk in Pasay City.”
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano and the Pasay City Tourism and Cultural Office fully supported the heritage walk conducted by the DFA-OCD, led by Assistant Secretary Cecila Anna Feria, aimed to cultivate a deeper appreciation for Filipino culture, heritage, and creativity, and promote cultural diplomacy through experiential learning and providing insights into national history and values.
Rubiano said the delegates first visited PAL Museum, the home of Philippine Airlines, Asia's first airline, located in the city.
She said the delegates followed to visit the AIMS Museo Maritimo, the first maritime-themed museum showing the rich history of the Philippine sea.
The mayor also said the delegates visited the oldest restaurant in the city, which was established in 1940, known for serving dishes like crispy ulo, pansit, sisig, tapang kabayo, and others.
She thanked the delegates who visited historical places in the city and said that their visit would help the city government grow tourism, history, and culture in the city.
