Porsche Design officially marked its return to the Philippine market with an exclusive car meet and lifestyle showcase called “Treffen Der Ikonen” (Gathering of Icons) at the Auto Complex in Quezon City on September 11, 2025. The event celebrated the enduring influence of Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, the designer of the original Porsche 911 and founder of Porsche Design, whose principles of innovation and timeless excellence continue to shape the brand today.
Hosted by Migs Bustos, the gathering brought together around 30 rare and cherished Porsche models, along with a large community of owners, enthusiasts, and collectors. Porsche Design Manila President, Hans Yao, emphasized the significance of this milestone, stating, “Just like Ferdinand Alexander Porsche who stood the test of time, giving us a brand that is beloved through generations, Porsche Design carries the same principles of innovation, precision, and timeless excellence; And representing the brand who started the first ever Treffen Der Ikonen, this gathering is indeed a testament to his vision”.
Marketing Head, Heinrich Quintong, added that the event reflected the “Engineered Luxury” philosophy of Porsche Design, which merges functional precision with modern style. “From the precise lines of the iconic Porsche 911 sports car to the sleek and exceptional design of his lifestyle accessories, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche’s vision lives through each and every one of us here today,” he said.
Porsche style beyond the road
The event featured immersive zones highlighting Porsche Design’s transition from automotive heritage to lifestyle innovation. A Heritage Gallery traced the journey from the birth of the Porsche 911 to the brand's expansion into high-end accessories. The Timepieces and Innovation Lounge provided a detailed look at the chronographs inspired by motorsport engineering. The Travel and Mobility Showcase displayed premium luggage and leather goods designed for performance, durability, and style, while the Lifestyle and Fashion Zone showcased apparel, eyewear, and accessories embodying Porsche Design’s philosophy of timeless modernity.
Beyond the displays, Porsche Design used the evening to honor top Porsche owners and collectors in the Philippines, sharing “Legacy Porsche Moments” to reinforce the community’s connection to the brand. Guests also had the opportunity to view the latest Porsche Design creations, including the Roadster Hardcase luggage collection, which mirrors the aerodynamic form of Porsche cars, and the Chronotimer Series 1 timepieces that reflect the spirit of motorsport. Several newly released products underscored the brand’s direction in functional luxury.
The Capsole Sneaker, made from exclusive calfskin with a lightweight rubber sole, offers a minimalist yet comfortable design for men. The Urban Eco RL backpack, created from reconstructed leather with resource-conserving manufacturing, combines sustainability with flexibility for everyday use. The Roadster Trolley, part of the Roadster Hardcase Collection designed by Studio F.A. Porsche, features polycarbonate construction with silent ball-bearing wheels, an ergonomic handle system, and TSA-approved security features for efficient travel. The Masterpiece Blouson, a reflective jacket made from recycled materials, blends style, practicality, and Porsche DNA in a single garment.
The evening concluded with a dramatic display of various Porsche 911s arranged in formation under LED lights for a final group photo. The event’s sponsors, including Autocomplex, Second Skin Industries, Diageo, Nustar Resort and Casino, Washington Watches, Singlife, Mt. Fuji, and Summit Golf and Country Club, helped create an atmosphere befitting the brand’s reintroduction.
