#OpongPH: 1,045 families evacuated, 19 flooding incidents recorded in Cavite

CAVITE – A total of 1,045 families have been evacuated in the province due to the effects of severe tropical storm “Opong” on Friday, Sept. 26.
The latest situation report from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said evacuees are spread across 13 cities and municipalities, with the largest numbers in Bacoor City, Ternate, Naic, and Cavite City.
Damage to rice, high-value crops, and lowland vegetables has been estimated at ₱1,516,962.
Two landslide incidents, meanwhile, were reported in Silang.
In Ternate, disaster response chief Sixto Caisip reported that two boats sank in separate incidents. Both fishermen were safely rescued.
As of 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 26, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 over the southern portion of Cavite, covering:

- Tagaytay City
- Trece Martires City

- Emilio Aguinaldo
- Indang
- Silang
