Malabon LGU prepositions supplies, prepares evacuation sites for Typhoon 'Opong'

The Malabon City has prepositioned food, water, and other essential supplies as part of its preparations for the possible impact of Typhoon Opong, the local government announced on Friday, Sept. 26.
The city government said tents have been set up and evacuation centers readied to provide safe shelter for families that may be affected by the typhoon.
Residents were advised to coordinate with their respective barangays for proper guidance and assistance should evacuation be necessary.
Meanwhile, response teams composed of medical personnel, rescue units, and relief operations staff are also on standby to ensure immediate assistance.
The local government added that real-time monitoring is ongoing to promptly address the needs of the residents as the typhoon approaches.
The city government also reminded the public that their safety remains the top priority and urged them to remain alert and follow official advisories in the coming days.
