3 dead in Biliran flood triggered by storm

TACLOBAN CITY – Three individuals were killed and a seven-year-old girl remains missing due to severe flooding triggered by ‘‘Opong’’ in Barangay Bilwang, Kawayan, Biliran, Friday.
Victims were a four-year-old girl, a 12-year-old girl, and a 63-year-old man.
The missing was identified as Eljane Plaza.
A flash flood from a nearby stream swept through Barangay Bilwang, destroying homes and carrying away residents.
The victims were found inside the barangay hall and have been turned over to their families.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted on the victims.
Authorities and residents launched search and retrieval operations for the missing child.
