220 families preemptively evacuated in Bacoor due to 'Opong'

CAVITE – Hundreds of individuals have been preemptively evacuated in Bacoor City due to severe tropical storm “Opong.”
A Facebook post from Mayor Strike Revilla stated that 220 families or 847 individuals are currently staying in six evacuation centers in the coastal city as of 2:37 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26.
Uniformed personnel assisted residents living in the seaside and flood-prone areas as they evacuated.
The city government, meanwhile, is closely monitoring the water levels in various waterways and bridges, including Prinza Dam, Molino Dam, and Zapote Bridge.
Along Mambog Road, 12-inch-deep floods were recorded, hampering transportation.

- Bacoor City
- Cavite City
- Maragondon
- Naic
- Noveleta
- Rosario
- Tanza
- Ternate
Residents in low-lying coastal communities have been advised to remain alert for possible flooding and high waves as sea levels may rise over the next 24 hours.
The Cavite Office of Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management has coordinated with the Bravo Company of the 2nd Civil-Military Operations Battalion of the Philippine Army's 2nd Infantry Division to conduct roving and monitoring operations, providing assistance to affected communities.
