The new cruiser models will be powered by one of three new Milwaukee-Eight 117 powertrain variants with new cylinder heads, throttle bodies and intake manifolds. Each is tuned – through difference in intake and exhaust scheme and ride mode programming – to offer performance that matches the personality of a specific Cruiser model and the anticipated expectations of that model's customer.

Engine “redline” intervention is elevated from 5,600 rpm to 5,900 rpm to give additional throttle headroom under strong acceleration. The air intake has been redesigned to maximize flow and improve charging efficiency and peak torque. A 2-into-1 exhaust enhances engine performance by promoting efficient scavenging of exhaust from the engine cylinders while it delivers a satisfying low rumble at idle and powerful exhaust note under acceleration.
Each of the new Milwaukee-Eight 117 powertrain variants for cruiser models offer significantly more performance potential with the installation of Screamin’ Eagle Stage Kits and Screamin’ Eagle intake and exhaust components, compared to 2024 Milwaukee-Eight 114/117 engines.
