The new cruiser models will be powered by one of three new Milwaukee-Eight 117 powertrain variants with new cylinder heads, throttle bodies and intake manifolds. Engine “redline” intervention is elevated from 5,600 rpm to 5,900 rpm to give additional throttle headroom under strong acceleration. The air intake has been redesigned to maximize flow and improve charging efficiency and peak torque. A 2-into-1 exhaust enhances engine performance by promoting efficient scavenging of exhaust from the engine cylinders while it delivers a satisfying low rumble at idle and powerful exhaust note under acceleration.
