QC gov't issues traffic advisory on North Avenue closure for MRT-7 construction
The Quezon City Government has issued a traffic advisory related to the temporary closure of a portion of North Avenue heading toward Elliptical Road from Sept. 24 until Nov. 30.
The closure is intended to give way to the construction of the Quezon Memorial Circle Station pedestrian tunnel under the MRT-7 project.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
Vehicles from North Avenue may turn right onto Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago Avenue and then left onto Quezon Avenue to reach Elliptical Road.
The section of North Avenue beside the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center will remain passable, while the opposite lane from Elliptical Road toward Veterans Memorial Medical Center will stay open to traffic.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD), Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD), Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS), and Task Force Disiplina will be deployed in the area to manage traffic flow and assist motorists.
City officials urged the public to plan their trips in advance and observe traffic advisories as the MRT-7 project continues to progress.
