Police perform CPR on heart attack patient who flagged them in Cavite
CAVITE – Patrolling police officers administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to a heart attack patient who flagged them for help in Trece Martires City, on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
The patient, a metalworks employee, reportedly suffered a heart attack and was riding a jeep with a friend on their way to the hospital.
Upon seeing a roving police mobile of Trece Martires Component City Police Station (Trece Martires CCPS), the patient and his companion alighted from the jeep and flagged down Corporal Daryl Cañete and Patrolman Kim Jasper Alarca for help.
On their way to the hospital, the patient lost consciousness, prompting the officers to pull over and perform CPR.
They were able to restore the patient’s vital signs and safely transported him to the hospital for medical treatment.
Despite efforts by the responding officers and hospital staff, however, the man was later declared dead.
