New Metro store in Bais City seen to boost local economy, create jobs
Gaisano-led Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (MRSGI) has expanded its branch network to 78 stores with the opening of Metro Store and Supermarket in Bais City, marking the community and the retail chain’s continued growth in the Visayas.
The firm said its newly launched Metro Market and Department Store aim to provide Bais residents with greater accessibility to fresh food, household essentials, and lifestyle products offered at everyday low prices.
“More than just a retail expansion, the opening also represents Metro’s commitment to being an active partner in the city’s economic and social progress,” it added.
“This launch is more than just the opening of a store; it is the beginning of a lasting partnership between Metro and the vibrant City of Bais,” said MRSGI President and COO Joselito G. Orense.
He added, “We are committed to becoming a meaningful part of this community by creating jobs, supporting local suppliers, and contributing to the city’s growth and prosperity.”
The company stated that its Bais store is also expected to stimulate local commerce by collaborating with nearby producers and vendors, thereby opening new opportunities for small enterprises to reach a wider market.
At the same time, it creates a new hub where families can shop for both daily essentials and lifestyle needs in one convenient location.
“Metro stands for something deeper than products and promotions; we stand for uplifting lives. We believe that when communities thrive, businesses flourish, and vice versa. It is this shared growth that we aim to build with the people of Bais,” said Orense.
