2 laborers arrested for stabbing, mauling co-worker in Pasay City
Two construction worker were arrested after stabbing and beating their co-worker during a drinking session in Pasay City on Sept. 23.
Col. Joselito De Sesto, Pasay City Police chief, identified the suspects as Mar,40, and Chris, 26, both residents of Taytay, Rizal.
They were apprehended at around 5:10 p.m. on Daop Palad Street in Barangay 201, Pasay City.
The victim, Nel, 28, a resident of Imus, Cavite City, sustained stab wounds in the body was rushed to Pasay City General Hospital.
De Sesto said members of the Pasay City Police Substation 9 responded to the crime scene where they found victim bloodied on the ground.
The victim told the police officers that Chris stabbed him while Mar kicked and punched him several times during their heated altercation.
De Sesto said the suspects were immediately arrested and brought to the Pasay City Police custodial facility. They were charged with frustrated homicide.
He said the six-inch-long kitchen knife used by the suspect was turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit.
