British actor Tom Holland has experienced a mild head concussion after a stunt went wrong while filming his new film, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."
According to a report of the US Entertainment news outlet Deadline, the filming was temporarily suspended after Tom was taken to a hospital.
The actor was reportedly treated and released, not admitted.
Sources told Deadline that no one else was impacted by the incident. A meeting is set to revise the filming schedule.
A production insider told the outlet that Holland is taking a break "as a precaution," but is anticipated to resume filming within a few days.
Tom doesn't appear to have sustained any serious injuries. According to The Sun, he attended a charity event over the weekend with his fiancée and co-star Zendaya, along with his father. However, he reportedly left early as he was feeling unwell.
Before filming started in Scotland last August, Tom expressed that he was "over the moon and so excited" to shoot on location, especially after "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (2021) was filmed entirely on soundstages during the Covid pandemic.
Destin Daniel Cretton is directing "Brand New Day" after working with Marvel Studios on "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" and the upcoming "Wonder Man" TV show.
Spider-Man regulars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon will be returning as M.J. and Ned, respectively, while Marvel heavy hitters Mark Ruffalo (the Hulk) and Jon Bernthal (the Punisher) are among other cast members.
