Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has been recognized by the Philippine Red Cross for its sustained support of humanitarian initiatives, blood donation programs, and disaster response activities. This recognition underscores the company’s ongoing efforts to assist in relief operations, promote voluntary blood donation, and strengthen community-building initiatives across the country.
During a recent ceremony at the Santa Rosa City Auditorium, MMPC received the Blood Services Platinum Award from the Philippine Red Cross. The award was given for MMPC’s strong and sustained commitment to promoting voluntary blood donation and organizing mobile blood donation drives. Over the past five years, MMPC employees and partners have contributed a total of 896 blood units, with 207 bags donated in 2024 alone. The 2024 contribution amounts to approximately 93,150cc of blood.
The award was received by MMPC Vice President for Safety, Health & Environment under the Manufacturing Division, Marfel Ancheta, and Manufacturing Assistant Manager, Von Karlo Divinagracia. The event, themed “Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives,” celebrated the vital role of corporate and individual donors in advancing the Red Cross mission of saving lives.

Beyond company-wide efforts, MMPC employees were also individually honored. Three employees, Kevin Reglos, Joselle Memije, Gerardo Yamsuan, and former employee Dominador Advincula Jr., were recognized for donating more than a gallon of blood each over time, exemplifying the values of solidarity and volunteerism that MMPC promotes.
According to the Philippine Red Cross, MMPC has also provided vehicles and logistical support essential for transporting volunteers, relief goods, and medical supplies to disaster-stricken areas. This partnership has enabled quicker mobilization of rescue and recovery efforts, particularly during typhoons and other natural disasters.
The Philippine Red Cross emphasized that partnerships with private companies like MMPC are vital in maintaining a robust and responsive humanitarian network. It also recognized MMPC’s role in promoting volunteerism and community resilience, which are central to its mission of alleviating human suffering and saving lives.
This recognition reflects MMPC’s ongoing commitment to corporate citizenship and reinforces its public image as a socially responsible automaker. With a 23-hectare manufacturing plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna capable of producing up to 50,000 units annually and fiscal year 2024 retail sales reaching 91,639 vehicles, MMPC continues to show how private sector involvement can play a critical role in national emergency preparedness, public health, and relief efforts.
