BACOLOD CITY – A 40-year-old construction worker stabbed to death over old grudges in Purok Sagrado Dos, Barangay Estefania here on Sunday, Sept. 21.
Police Major Joeil Reclamado, head of Police Station 4, said the victim was having a drinking session at home when a man appeared and asked him to come outside.
The victim went out and the suspect stabbed the victim 15 times, Reclamado said.
The suspect was identified by a witness and police arrested him in a follow-up operation in Barangay Estefania.
Reclamado said the suspect admitted the crime due to personal grudges.
The murder weapon was not recovered after the suspect allegedly threw it in a creek near the victim’s house.
Murder charges were filed against the suspect on Monday, Sept. 22.
