K-pop group Boynextdoor set to release new album in October
K-pop idol group Boynextdoor, composed of Sungho, Riwoo, Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak, will be making their comeback on Oct. 20 with their fifth mini-album “The Action.”
Boynextdoor announced their return to the music scene with an intriguing video, “Boynextdoor Kick Off for [The Action],” unveiled on HYBE Labels’ Youtube channel and the band’s official social media accounts.
In the video, the members appear in matching hoodies bearing the phrase “Team The Action.” Taesan throws a dart at a map that lands on Chicago, prompting the group to ask a smart speaker for filming location ideas in the city.
When the virtual assistant mentions the Chicago Film Festival, the members decide to head there, and the video closes with the message, “Take no. 6 Ready Camera Action!”
The festival reference leaves fans speculating about its meaning and the group’s potential involvement. A final link directs viewers to a website reading “Boynextdoor new album coming soon” and “Website open 09°24’WED 10PM,” further heightening anticipation.
“The Action” follows Boynextdoor’s fourth mini-album “No Genre,” released last May, which became their second consecutive million-seller.
They wrapped up their first tour, “Knock On Vol.1,” and delivered standout performances at Lollapalooza Chicago and the Grammy Museum.
“The Action” will be available on all streaming platforms worldwide on Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. KST.
