With only six holdovers and 12 new faces in their lineup, the Junior Altas are still optimistic with their title-retention bid as they vie in the tournament minus last year's Finals MVP Lebron Jhames Daep.
The Junior Altas will now lean on their mainstays in Louie Rosales, team captain Lance Nitura, Jim Corpuz, Renzo Zanoria, Ezekiel Zamoras, Kurt Patalinhug and Kurt Velasquez as they aim to dominate the league once more.
Head coach Joph Cleopas also stressed his confidence in his 18-man roster, noting all of them are motivated to keep their first NCAA title and make it two in a row.
Reinforcing the youthful Perpetual side are freshmen in Rayven Restificar, Brent Rosales and Jones Ferrer, Hanz Llupar, Jude Binagatan, Daniel Dulanas CeeJay Castillejo, Manu Ignacio, Arkin Cristobal, Emmanuel Villaruel and Vandolf Urdaneta.
The Las Piñas-based crew begins its quest against San Sebastian on Oct. 3 at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
