The Parañaque City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) was placed on full alert for possible impacts of the enhanced southwest monsoon brought about by Typhoon Nando.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the CDRRMO was placed on full alert to conduct monitoring and respond to any possible impact of the typhoon.
Olivarez is actively monitoring the city’s local conditions from the Emergency Local Operations Center as Typhoon Nando continues to bring heavy rains and strong winds.
The mayor said the ELO Center serves as the city's multi-hazard monitoring hub and inter-agency coordination center, ensuring the timely deployment of resources as necessary.
Olivarez urged residents living near rivers, coastal areas, and other danger zones to remain vigilant and follow advisories from authorities.
He reminded the public to prioritize safety, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay updated through official government channels.
The mayor said that for emergencies, residents may call 911 or contact the Parañaque hotline number: 8820-PQUE (7783)
