Malaysia tourism, culture and food festival launched in Manila
The Embassy of Malaysia in Manila, through its Tourism Malaysia Office, proudly hosted the Malaysia Tourism, Arts, Culture, and Food Festival 2025 and officially launched the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign at the Concourse, Level 2, One Ayala, from Sept. 12 to 13, 2025.

This vibrant promotional event is part of Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to deepen bilateral ties with the Philippines. It aims to raise public awareness of the upcoming Visit Malaysia 2026, foster greater cultural appreciation, and strengthen people-to-people connections between the two nations.
Festival highlights included captivating traditional performances, a stunning Kebaya Nyonya fashion showcase led by award-winning heritage designer and cultural advocate Dr. Kenny Loh, and a flavorful culinary experience curated by celebrity chef Dato’ Chef Ismail Ahmad. Visitors also enjoyed exclusive travel deals offered by participating airlines and travel agencies.

Malaysia is targeting 43 million international arrivals in 2025, with a goal of reaching 47 million during Visit Malaysia Year 2026. From January to July this year, 349,012 Filipinos visited Malaysia—an 8.7% increase compared with the same period in 2024.

In line with the Philippines’ upcoming ASEAN chairmanship in 2026, AirAsia is set to launch direct flights between Cebu and Kuala Lumpur. This new route is expected to boost two-way tourism, particularly from the southern regions of the Philippines, and further enhance regional connectivity.
