Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar said the program, which carried the theme “Bagong Buhay, Bagong Simula,” provides livelihood starter kits tailored to each beneficiary’s chosen trade, whether in retail or services.
Aguilar said the starter kits will give each beneficiary the means to immediately put their skills into practice and support their families.
She said the beneficiaries completed their courses in bread and pastry, hairdressing, massage therapy, shielded metal arc welding, automotive servicing, cookery, electrical installation and maintenance, food and beverage, motorcycle small engine servicing, and refrigeration and air conditioning.
The mayor also said a job fair was conducted through the support of Jammas Incorporated, opening more opportunities for graduates to secure employment after the awarding of tools and equipment.
Aguilar underscored the importance of livelihood and skills training in uplifting the lives of Las Piñeros, emphasizing the city's prioritized programs that empower residents to achieve economic independence and stability.
