Police arrested a 23-year-old man after he yielded shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Fort Bonifacio, Taguig on Sept. 21.
The suspect was identified as alias “Ivan”, a resident of Barangay 130, Pasay City. He was nabbed along Chino Roces Avenue Extension, Barangay Fort Bonifacio.
The operation, conducted by the Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit, resulted in the confiscation of four plastic sachets containing 16.7 grams of shabu worth P113,560, a genuine P500 bill marked money, and two pieces of P1,000 boodle money.
The suspect, tagged as a newly identified street-level individual, is under police custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
“This arrest demonstrates our sustained and aggressive campaign against illegal drugs. We will not stop pursuing drug offenders at every level to ensure the safety and security of our communities,” said Col. Byron Allatog, acting Taguig chief of police.
