Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said some protesters reportedly threw the items at personnel of the Manila Police District (MPD) who were deployed to monitor the anti-corruption protest on Sunday, Sept. 21.
The flushing operation aims to clean the bridge and make it safe and passable again to motorists and pedestrians.
DPS personnel also conducted clearing operations at Liwasang Bonifacio following the activities in the area related to Sunday’s anti-corruption protest.
Domagoso said they will continue to monitor and maintain cleanliness in the city.
