ACT said the white ribbons are a “symbolic” gesture of resistance, welcoming thousands of protesters expected to join the nationwide call for accountability.
(This is a reminder that the primary person accountable for rampant corruption is President Marcos Jr. himself, who favors and implements budgets full of pork barrel and anomalous funds),” said ACT Vice Chairperson Jonathan Geronimo in a statement.

ACT stressed that corruption in the national budget diverts critical resources from classrooms, hospitals, and community services, while enabling patronage politics and kickback-laden projects to thrive.
