The Quezon City government advised motorists on Saturday, Sept. 20, to plan their trips ahead as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) conducts road reblocking and repairs in several parts of the city.
The road works began last Friday night, Sept. 19, and until Monday, Sept. 22, at around 5 a.m.
City officials said they are coordinating with the DPWH and the Quezon City Traffic and Transport Management Department (QCTMD) to manage traffic flow and guide motorists through alternate routes while repairs are underway.
Affected areas include portions of Fairview Avenue, Payatas Road, Mindanao Avenue underpass, Regalado Avenue, General Luis Street, E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Aurora Boulevard, Quezon Avenue, G. Araneta Avenue, and C5 Katipunan Avenue.
The local government urged commuters to allot additional travel time and comply with the instructions of traffic enforcers.
It added that the reblocking is part of regular maintenance to ensure safer and smoother roads in the city.
