Manila roads to close on September 21 for Martial Law Anniversary
The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit reminded the motorists of the several major roads that will be closed beginning at 3 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, in line with the commemoration of the 53rd anniversary of Martial Law.
Traffic authorities said the closures will cover Luneta Park, C.M. Recto Avenue, Legarda Street, and Magallanes Drive.
Organizers said they are expecting around 100,000 participants to gather at Luneta for the rally, which is anticipated to cause heavy congestion in surrounding areas.
Motorists and commuters are advised to expect delays, allow extra travel time, and plan their routes in advance to avoid affected roads.
